Andy Uff has spent 25 years working at every level of the commercial medtech world. He has been a sales executive, a regional sales manager, a national sales manager, a commercial manager, a marketing manager, an international training and education manager and a CEO, giving him a rare, ground-level understanding of the pressures, challenges, and opportunities that medtech professionals face at every stage of their career.
Over that time, Andy has worked across some of the most demanding and varied clinical specialties in the sector, including orthopaedics, cardiology, anaesthetics, electrophysiology, wound closure, and laparoscopic surgery.
It was that breadth of experience, and a genuine passion for helping people and businesses perform better, that led Andy to found Enigma Education in 2023, and ultimately to build the Enigma Medtech group.
Andy works alongside a team of experienced medtech experts, each bringing specialist knowledge across the group’s five divisions.

Where did the name Enigma come from?
Getting business and training right can feel like a puzzle. That’s exactly what the name Enigma represents, and solving that puzzle for our clients is what we set out to do every single day.
How did it all start?
Enigma Medtech began life as Enigma Education in 2023, founded by Andy Uff out of a simple but powerful frustration: traditional training was broken.
Slide decks, passive listening, tick-box exercises. None of it was producing real change in how people performed. It wasn’t engaging, it wasn’t fun, and it certainly wasn’t sticking. Andy set out to build something radically different, training that engaged people at the level of emotion and experience, not just information. Courses designed around role play, real-world activities, and genuine interaction. Training that people actually remembered, and could actually use.
It worked. And word spread.
Clients who had experienced Enigma Education began asking for more. Could we help with interim sales cover? Could we support an orthopaedic surgical case? Could we deliver their Insights Discovery programmes? The answer, each time, was yes.
By 2026, what had started as a training business had grown into something much broader. Enigma Medtech was formed to bring all of these services together under one roof, a specialist group built entirely around the needs of the medtech sector.
